For Interviews With Mouths Sue Williamson, Berni Searle, Andrew Putter, Dorothee Kreutzfeldt and BB were instructed to come up with 20 questions people have asked them during recent art/non-art related travels. They were asked to re-enact the answering of these questions convincingly, in one continuous take, with very little preparation. Each artist filmed themselves, focusing on a fixed frame: a close-up of their mouths answering these questions. As a result the interviews were generally stilted, forced, too self-conscious; a failure to communicate beyond the act of mouths moving.
